When & Why did u start UNBOUND??
My co-founder Sarah Jayne and I started @Unbondbabes in 2014. At 21, I was diagnosed with stage IIIC colorectal cancer. A friend who is a nurse recommended I buy a vibrator because the cancer treatment was having such a big impact on my body and, by extension, my sex drive. I was really embarrassed to talk about it, and the whole shopping experience stuck with me.
What's one of the biggest hurdles or challenges you've faced being in biz?
We can’t advertise on FB, IG, or Pinterest. Our ads were also pulled by the MTA! Running a business that grows organically is incredibly difficult–it’s super hard to reach new customers.
What product are you most excited about for 2019?
Palma! – She’s a ring that’s also a vibe.

What's it like being in the sexual wellness industry?
It’s been amazing to be a part of the sex tech community here in NYC, especially with all the incredible female / NB / trans founders starting companies. We’re a really close group of founders who support each other as opposed to being occupied with putting each other down. What's your beauty routine?
Lawlllll totally depends on how stressful of a week it is. But I always make sure to fool people by putting on red lipstick and being seemingly put together.

My sister got me the Blue Tansy Resurfacing Claity Mask by Herbivore for my bday and I was all like “WHATT? $50 FOR A MASK?!?” but I’m kinda obsessed with it now and it helps my acne-prone skin

Who is your female muse or major inspo ?
I know it’s cheesy AF but honestly the 8 women I get to work beside every single day. And my mom. And my grandmother Clara Jane who passed away. And Stevie Nicks. And Michelle Obama. I mean, I could go on forever.
Fave show to watch when no ones looking?
I’ve watched the AMC underdog Halt and Catch Fire literally 5 times. If you are starting a company it will give you SO MUCH INSPO and motivation. The first season is kinda a sleeper but HAVE FAITH IT GETS GOOD
